Created in 1998, the annual Travel Manitoba Tourism Awards pay tribute to efforts that focus on promoting Manitoba as a
quality year-round destination, ensuring exceptional visitor experiences and fostering a professional tourism industry.
Nominations for the awards are made by industry peers; finalists and winners are selected by an industry-based judging panel. Winners receive a sculpted glass award, the right to use the Manitoba Tourism Award symbol for advertising and promotion and posting on the Travel Manitoba website.
Winners were announced for Travel Manitoba's 2007 Tourism Awards, which recognize exemplary contributions to the promotion and development of tourism in the province.

Recognized for his work translating and writing a series of communications projects showcasing the activities of the Economic Development Council for Manitoba (CDEM) to the general public.
Recognized for providing quality lodging and hospitality at their Bed and Breakfast to visitors from across Canada, the U.S. and Europe, while also promoting other area attractions to their guests.
Recognized for his outstanding leadership abilities as manager and part-owner of the LaVérendrye Golf Course in La Broquerie, and for his ongoing work on the board of the Economic Development Council for Manitoba Bilingual Municipalities.
Recognized for promoting and showcasing Manitoba Aboriginal music and arts through a variety of festivals, award shows and celebrations.
Recognized for her valued contribution to Lower Fort Garry, where she has volunteered for more than 15 years in roles that have included events planning, heritage programming and volunteer training.
Recognized for his service on the board of the Prairie Mountain Regional Museum and his many years of volunteer work with the Shoal Lake Agricultural Society Fair.
